CAPS Workshops

By attending CAPS workshops you will be exposed to a variety of skills to help improve your quality of life and relationships. You are welcome to attend all the workshops or pick and choose the ones that you are most interested in.

Workshops are FREE and will typically be held in the Taggart Student Center room 310B.

Workshops are open to all USU students, faculty, and staff.

Seating is limited. Please contact us at 797-1012 or stop by TSC306 to reserve your seat.

How to Talk Openly about Suicide and Building Personal Resiliency

Test Anxiety

Most students feel some level of anxiety in testing situations. However, for some students, test anxiety is so intense that it negatively affects their students, test anxiety is so intense that it negatively affects their academic success. In this workshop you will learn about test anxiety and specific strategies for reducing and managing anxiety symptoms in testing situations.

 Breaking Taboo

Death is taboo in our culture, yet it is something we will all experience. Have you ever asked yourself: How long will it take to adequately grieve a death? or What can I expect while grieving? How can I comfort others? How do I begin to heal after loss?
Attend this workshop to learn about grief, share your experiences, and break taboo by talking about this critical topic.
